01

Philanthropic Advising / Strategic Partnerships

Helping a private foundation turn philanthropic priorities into a long-term national partnership

Advised a private foundation leader seeking to advance public understanding around aging, health, and later life. Helped clarify philanthropic goals, identify a mission-aligned institutional partner, support leadership conversations, and structure an eight-year, $500,000 partnership with Kaiser Health News/Kaiser Family Foundation. The engagement reflected Goldsmith & Company’s broader approach to philanthropic advising: clarifying intent, identifying strong partners, structuring support, and learning from impact over time.

02

Institutional Giving / Education Fundraising

Advancing national education initiatives through institutional funding and partnership strategy

At The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, helped secure more than $5 million in philanthropic and public support for national K–12 education initiatives, including teacher professional development, classroom resources, student programs, civic-learning resources, and public humanities projects. Worked across executive, program, finance, education, and subject-matter teams to translate educational priorities into fundable initiatives, proposals, stewardship strategies, and impact narratives.

03

Fundraising Strategy / Board Engagement

Helping nonprofit leaders and boards prepare for donor engagement

Advised nonprofit executive and board leaders on fundraising strategy, donor engagement, board fundraising culture, and preparation for major donor conversations. Work has included helping leaders clarify the case for support, identify practical roles for board members, prepare for solicitation conversations, and move from discomfort or uncertainty toward focused fundraising action.

04

Organizational & Funder Readiness / Program Strategy

Turning community needs into fundable program models and public/private support

At FEGS Health & Human Services, partnered with executive leadership, program directors, finance teams, government agencies, and community stakeholders to design, fund, and implement initiatives serving youth, young adults, families, and vulnerable New Yorkers. Helped translate community needs into program models, budgets, implementation plans, outcomes, and funding strategies, securing more than $14 million in public and philanthropic support.
